YouTube app updated with iOS 7 keyboard, improved search

Google rolled out a new version of its YouTube app  that updates the design with the iOS 7 keyboard, an improved search feature and additional options for those who turn on captions or subtitles. The biggest improvement is in search, which now displays individual videos, playlists and channels in the results. Theoretically, you can now search for Apple and pull up Apple’s YouTube channel along with random Apple videos. There also are changes in the settings that allow users to tweak the formatting and position of captions and subtitles. Here is the full change log from the app’s description:
  • Find videos, playlists and channels together in search results
  • Formatting, positioning and user settings for captions / subtitles
  • iOS 7 keyboard and other improvements

You can check out the changes yourself by downloading the YouTube app from the iOS App Store. It’s universal and is available for free.
